Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I'm banned from alcohol until I finish an anti-inflammatory prescription, so no beer for me...

To top it off, I got the call last Friday that my Garrison order had arrived at my local LCBO. So now it sits in my cellar, taunting me. :(

Maybe the GO service to the area will help. I know (as I mentioned at the open house) that it's very convenient for Toronto gatherings to be able to get a ride to Burlington, and then use Go/TTC from there. Now that GO is available from St. Catharines (or N. Falls) on weekends, it'll be even easier ...

Turnout was quite low in numbers. Dutchcanuck and I each showed up with a friend, so it was a pretty small affair. Regardless, I think we all enjoyed ourselves, and Ian was a gracious host. The beer was good, the food was good, and the company was good. I'm working my way through a growler of Ian's ...

I wonder why we need to request delivery now. I seem to remember requesting it on the original order.

Regardless, I haven't had to wait very long in the past.

I'm looking forward to this!

Andicus, Just bring a colouring book and sit her down in the corner. No problem! They also have a nice fenced in patio where she could chill out. She's 13, so she probably wouldn't appreciate that! :) Also, she's 13, so she'd be pestering me while I'm trying to enjoy myself, too. I'm sure I'll work...

Ooh, just saw the change on the date.

Perhaps Greg or Cass could update the title?

I appreciate the offer, but the concern is more about having to offload my daughter on someone while I'm out! :)

I'm pretty sure I'll find a way to make it hapen, so I'll be sure to say hello.

Thanks to Cass and Greg for creating/maintaining the site, and for all the contributors. I'd be lost without this place.

Re: Beer Hunter on UK Nova

I hope it's not the same one I downloaded before. The AV synch was off by a mile on that. But yeah, I'll give this one a go because I'd love to have a better copy of it. Thanks for the link. :) Just a heads-up for future reference (since you mentioned the synch is okay for these), VLC allows you to...

Excellent review! Like lagerale, I've only tried the Blonde, and wasn't too thrilled with it. This review has sold me, and I'll be stopping in. Great to read that they do growlers. I wish the Merchant Ale House did likewise.

Just for the record, I didn't say anything about him being a musical legend. I challenged that he's contributed nothing, musically, although I would not argue against him being called a musical legend, either. Jon Walker's references make that point, IMHO. He had some devastating grooves and uncann...

Michael Jackson contributed nothing musically? Like his music, or not, that's a pretty impossible statement to backup. Being fully aware that I'm prolonging this ridiculousness . . . Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly did the man (?) do that makes him a "musical legend?" That's kinda ...
