Need to revisit my stash of Goudenband....love that beer, but I think that Jacobins (and to a greater extent, Rodenbach Grand Cru) have more going on.... Had a weird mix tonight over a long period....started with a Jacobins, out for a bit and ended up having a DDC Aphrodisiaque and now a Heady Toppe...

Was at Wilson & Dufferin "liberating" 2 more bottles of 3F yesterday and the Charlevoix Saison was on the shelf....as was pretty much everything else (it's true....great store....really bad location).

I think I need to go and save more bottles of the 3 Fonteinen from being drain poured by someone who has no idea what they're buying.

now THAT'S why it's located at Wilson and Dufferin, which is near Yorkdale....which is essentially where a crapload of people shop (including 100% of the population who read Toronto Life)....

Had a 3F Golden Blend last night....in comparison to the Armand & Tommy I had a couple days ago, I'd have to say I prefer the A&T....go figure. So, comparably, those are a bargain!

I've got mine in the basement, underneath the stairs on a concrete floor. It's amazing how much the temperature fluctuates from summer to winter, (even with central ac/forced air gas heat). Quite gradual, but I've seen about a 10+ degree fluctuation from winter to summer so far and the temp hits abo...

Yep...have seen quite a few bottles on the shelf. My guess is that there are still more to trickle in (if Ontario received 600+ bottles, I don't think that many have hit the shelves yet).

OK, i'm convinced I need more now... Wife may not be on board with it, though....

I thought the 6 bottles I picked up was a bit excessive....with people picking up 6-12 bottles each, it might be tough to get any at the usual stores!

Still not sure this warrants the price differential vs. the standard 3F gueuze??? 'Rare' as it may be....
