Re: ISO 5 Paddles Cold Crash

I drank all my allotment pretty quick so I don't have any left. Pretty cool to see an ISO post about a beer you helped make though! IMO this beer is best fresh since the cold brew was pretty fruity and started to become a bit more acrid and roasty around the 3-4 week mark. Any questions I can answer...

Re: Forked River

I found 2015's to be overly oaked and tanic. 2014 I thought was nice enough, even bought a 2nd bottle to age, but IMO it was better fresh.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

And a quick follow up from our earlier post today. We weren't lying when we said we were continuing to find solutions... :D The brewery will continue to tweak as needed. And, just to confirm, the date on the cans (and cans out there in the market) references the PACKAGED ON date. http://greatlakesb...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Speaking of grocery stores. My local loblaws regularly has 1-2 week old canned IPAs on the shelves. They turn over the stuff so quickly that it's always fresh. Plus now they have a 12 door bank of fridges.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Agreed. I refuse to buy an IPA if I can't read the date code, or know when it was packaged through social media. That goes double for imported stuff from USA. I think my local LCBO staff must hate me. They have two flats of Headstock on the shelf. The one on top is something like 3 months old, and ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

No one said 10 days old.

IPAs frequently make it to LCBO shelves that are 3-4 months old on release day.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Immodest IIPA I found at Laird was canned like a week ago too. Good time to pick this one up. Also happy to see NB fixing their date stamping!

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

OWTF Doesn't seem to be listed on lcbo.com yet...

Already almost 3 week since initial release at the brewery. Hope LCBO can get this one out soon before they ruin another delicious IPA with age...

Re: GTA Coffee

JJ Bean just opened up a roastery on Burmondsey around the corner from Muddy York.

Got their single origin Kenya, really really nice. Been aeropressing a cup at least twice a day.

Re: GTA Coffee

Maybe it's just me, but what is with Pilot's 8:30-3pm M-F hours? They are closed weekends too. How do people get their coffee, just from the cafes?

FYI Burdock has prices and stock levels for every beer in their bottle shop. Surprised no one has praised them for that yet considering how much people want brewery websites to list bottles...

Re: So have the SOB's packed it in?

FYI, GTA Brews does have a website where I post all the meeting dates and most of the happenings. However all the discussion is on Facebook, yes. Many homebrew clubs (even in the USA) are moving to facebook groups because people would rather use that than a forum for the most part. It's where most p...

Heading over to the GTA Brews Holiday Party bringing growlers of: Black Sour (WLP Sour Mix, Bellwoods NRFTW dregs, and Lambicus aged 1.5 years), Intergalactic Corgi Butt IPA (Galaxy and Mosaic), and Particularly Fox (a mild from 2nd running of a barleywine).
