Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

The beauracratic/regulatory climate of Ontario presumably impacts all small brewers in a similar fashion. In the particular case of RS/FM, I believe they have another major hurdle in their path to success. Barrie. Park outside any beer store in Barrie on any day of the week and enjoy the parade of 2...

Anyone have an idea whether the TP is a one-off or will it be on for a while? I have no idea how Volo rotate their line-up, so I'm trying to find out the timeframe to get my caboose down there to try some...

Steamwhistle Ads

I suppose I can understand Steamwhistle's 'Do one thing really, really well' philosophy. But I'm a little confused by their recent marketing approach of insinuating that to attempt to brew multiple styles (i.e. 'a stout or an ale') would result in an automatic dip in quality. Why are they selling th...

Latin huh? Good for you. Apparently you and I differ in our understanding of what "Joe Sixpack" means. You seem to feel the term can be applied to people who already drink craft beer which, in my mind, is a total contradiction. I'm actually not suggesting excluding anyone from the event, ...

Wow, where to begin. I think I'll start by reminding you that, unless a point can be substantiated by fact then it's nothing more than an opinion. To suggest I'm absolutely wrong implies you can factually support why you are absolutely right...so either you have some better information to share wit...

IMHO a different venue implies a larger one. Therefore it would mean an expansion of the event...not necessarily it terms of beer variety but rather in terms of patron quantity. I'm really not keen for the event to get bigger since each year it's felt like our own private jewel that I'm really not ...

The flavour profile seems to be more balanced compared to a year ago, it's more along the lines of where it was in 2006. Its fitting for the winter. Note for GTA folks: hang onto yours for a couple months, winter should arrive down there sometime in january or so...

i happened to be in alliston on business today and popped into the LC. Their system showed 17 bottles of aventinus eisbock, but a search of the store by two employees (who made it their mission to find it, which was very nice) turned up nothing. a few bottles of '07 fullers vintage ale materialized ...
