Enjoying some Muskoka Craft Lager after work. It's slightly hazy, old, and yet, totally delicious. Forgot how good this one is. The new cans look nice too.

This isn't bad at all. I think maybe are going at this as an IIPA (or an imperial cascadian) and coming away disappointed because it doesn't meet style expectations. It's far closer to an ASA than an IIPA, I think. Its malt profile, which really awakens as the beer warms, is up front and sweet and ...

I kind of know what you mean Jeff. I interpreted it as too much residual sweetness in the finish, or just too much 'left over' indistinct sweetness, which I think can indicate under-attenuation, right?

I mostly enjoyed it though.

And that, folks, is how you define irony.
You got the joke! Yes! Usually people don't and just get all offended. Kudos.

Smashbomb and Mad Tom are under 13 for a six pack why the hell would I buy that. Is it made in gold plated tanks? You could buy it because Red Racer is light-years ahead of Smashbomb, and much better than Mad Tom. Smashbomb, yes. Mad Tom? Hell no. In my mind. I've recently come off of a 1.5 year lo...

Jester were you just trolling with that post? Surely no one would actually suggest the things you do in their proper frame of mind. Some of us either don't have the money, or aren't idiotic enough in our purchasing habits to keep buying a fairly expensive beer we apparently might learn to like. Espe...

I think what's really going on here, is that with the reelection of Dalton McGuinty and his Libs, Ontario reached a level of Social Responsibility so high, that it is now safe to let in some of the previously dangerous products.

Nice to see the Ottawa beer scene growing, albeit slowly. And when I say Ottawa beer scene I mean the city itself and not the surrounding area which I put Gatineau and Beau's into (and even Ogdenburg New York if you want).

I picked up a bottle at Queen's Quay today (the new stout) but haven't tried it yet. The label states "chocolate wheat" is an ingredient. Roasted, unmalted wheat perhaps? I'm looking forward to trying it. I also picked up a Trafalgar ESB in a similar-shaped bottle, I don't recall seeing t...

In defense of crystal malts, they're used in Red Racer ESB, and that, in my opinion, is a great ESB. It's also, oddly enough, not a fucking Dopplebock. TALK ABOUT BOCKS OMFG AAAARRRRRGGGGGG  :x  . But seriously.... I actually think the best way to drink this one is just slightly below r...
