Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Drinking Rogue's Voodoo Donut Lemon Crueller Ale... It's vile, god damned vile. It tastes like someone took a cheap ale and stirred a lemon jelly donut into it. Don't try unless you're an experimental idiot like me.

Re: The Craft Brasserie & Grille

I've been here twice in the past month to grab a bunch of flights and snack food. The majority of their servers don't have strong beer knowledge, and what they do pipe is generic canned lines about the style. However, the selection is pretty solid. I'm not sure how often they rotate taps (they have a...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

A porter aged in a Four Roses barrel? Does this have any relationship with the Great Lakes beer that had a weekend run at Buster Rhinos a while back? Same ABV, too. Was yummy as heck, high hopes for this.

Re: New non-LCBO/TBS beer releases

I just think v5 might be my fav, seems to have the strongest grapefruit profile of them all, and the most easily distinguishable, whereas I struggled with some of the earlier ones. The Home Brew Winner Midnight Pilot is a solid coffee release. First few sips were stunning. Mellowed off halfway throu...

Re: US Beer Releases (premier, consumer, vbm)

But check those freshness dates carefully! Saw 6 month old sculpin, dirt wolf, and hop hunter among many other dusty bottles mixed in with fresh bottles. especially if you make your own 6 pack, the singles were the worst for that. i feel like i'm getting close to be done shopping at premier due to ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I grabbed only a Cali-Belgique (as I've had the IPA and Arrogant Bastard on tap at Indie Alehouse, and were totally beautiful). Tastes at an okay fresh level, but I'd really love to try it within the first 30 days rather than what is now just over 60. The price point for this bottle seems semi-justi...

Re: 3 minutes to midnight

Missed it by minutes. Really disappointing for us 9-5ers. I understand this is a much smaller batch, but access is artificially limited with the release time.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

For me it's not an awful beer, just average/okay, definitely not worth the current listing price at all. I preferred the ODB version when I had it on guest tap at Indie Ale House a few months ago.

Re:

I'd say for the last year I have only had freshly filled growlers from various craft breweries. Not to mention it doesn't have to be that specific breweries growler. However, pre-filled are available. Same thing: which breweries did this? I did not think this was allowed at all in Ontario. I've onl...

Yeah, 20s here, I definitely had to wait due to a timeout. Gave me time to research rather than guess, though.
