You really do make the best puns! Now what time will the tasting start please?

Cheers, Doug
Ralph mentioned maybe starting at 7, but he didn't seem sure. Might as well turn up earlier and get the palate warmed up!

Compared to the other gift packs out there it's kind of a crap deal. You're paying $4.95 for the beer and $10 for (IMO) some fairly ugly glassware. The Chimay pack is $1 less and you get more beer (and a nicer glass). Same with the Affligem and De Koninck packs which are also priced at $14.95. I ge...

I picked up a few bottles from their retail store, and I'm very impressed. Its a solid drink, which is nicely spiced, and reveals different aspects of it character as it warms. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.

The British press has begun to pick up the hop shortage story. This piece from the Guardian suggests that a pint could rise to the equivalent of $8. It also points out that higher crude and aluminium prices are also hurting brewers: "The average price of a pint of beer could hit £4 after poor w...

From Volo's website: New Volo House Ale 11/14/2007 9:16:05 PM Volo introduces a new house ale on tap Fri Nov 16. "Grains Of Wrath" is a double IPA that was featured recently at Cask Days. This is from Church-Key. Here is how you all rated it: http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/church-key-grains...

Thomas Hardy is an excellent example of how good the LCBO prices sometimes are. This beer retails for 3.28 British Pounds for a 250 ml bottle. This works out to $6.72. If the LCBO is going to sell it for $4.00, its a real bargoon. I was on the phone to my dad in England, and he was shocked that we ...

This would be a very, very late arrival from the Summer release, like the Brakspear Organic that finally arrived a couple of weeks back. Thanks for the answer... I was pretty sure that I hadn't seen it in store before. I'll probably pick up a couple of bottles this evening and give it a go. Has any...

Liefmans Kriek

I noticed a liefmans kriek in the summerhill lcbo yesterday, and either I've overlooked it before, or its a new arrival. I checked the inventory level of the lcbo site, and its out there in ridiculous numbers (eg 408 at Queen's Quay). Can someone enlighten me on whether this is a new general list be...

I think that both Volo and C'est What still have some bottles if you're ever in downtown Toronto.
