Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

The Linsmore Tavern would be a great conversion project.

Not sure if this was mentioned in the thread when Danforth was brought up, but some of the drinkers here will remember that the Granite had a second location on Danforth, east of Pape. You can see an ancient BarTowel recap (written by me) here: http://bartowel.com/regions/pubs/beerst.phtml Clearly ...

Re: East Enders want YOU

you're a local, so you probably see the strip north of the Broadview subway station as the place where bad ideas go to die. other than Broadview Espresso, i've never seen anything near there thrive. What about the porn store that used to be Broadview Espresso - it was there for a long while :) Magi...

Guys, Danforth East already has a brewery. The Left Field open house is this weekend not far from Donlands. Plus there are plenty of excellent craft beer options in the area already. The Only, Wren, Sarah's, Morgan's, Sauce and The Only again because it's that good. If you go further East where the...

I'm not sure the website inventory is at all accurate. Yesterday it showed 100 at RBC plaza but I never saw any on the shelf all day. Today it's gone. Today it shows 38 at morningside, but the store manager has never seen it. He looked at his system and said there was 4000 bottles at summer hill!

To be perfectly honest, while I like Indie, I have never considered them to be in the top tier of Ontario brewers. They've never had a release that I have even briefly considered lining up for, nor have they had anything I've wanted a bottle of to cellar. They have had a few things I've very much w...

The Imp Saison was excellent, as was the Lady Staveron Wheat Wine. The Rye's Up IPA was also excellent - not as hard as the Cameron's RyePA. It was nice showing up at 12:30 for lunch to get a great seat and first crack at Double Tempest on draft too! The Brewhouse is really nice in the winter with t...

LOOOOOOL! "Uhhhh, we couldn't sell most of our below average, extremely overpriced 'imperial' stout' last year in Ontario because people finally caught on to the fact that it is below average and overpriced, so we're just going to say it's 'cellar aged' to make it sound like it was in the base...
