Re: LCBO Summer Craft Beer Release 2017

There is a domestic single SKU that the cashiers are not really supposed to use, but some do. I don't think it is communicated consistently by upper management. So in some cases if they cant find a SKU they will scan it through as a domestic single which rings in at about $2. I find you will get the...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

I was in the Hafis line from 2-315 and it did move very slow. A lot of guys with multiple cases of mixed bottles. I had a friend pick me up a weekly haul on Friday so I was only there for the Motley. Not sure what is left now but they were halfway through the 500mls at 230. By the time I was leaving...

The Old Rasputin - incredibly good stuff for a $7 bomber of Russian Imperial Stout. From the USA no less. The hops do have teeth, it's a classic RIS but the balance is definitely there in the chocolate and rich roasty malt. This is one of the better deals for an imported RIS. I prefer the flavours ...

So how's the blackberry milkshark, As good as pineapple? I hear it sold out pretty wuickly Pretty great. Like drinking blackberry sorbet. Yeah, they apparently sold out of all 400 at Hafis and the other 850 at Ossington by around the late afternoon. Wasn't a fan of the pineapple; found it to be too...

Re: Bench Brewery

What happened? I had Balls Falls a few times and it was amazing but the last 2 canning dates I've tried were total drain pours. Funny you say this, I haven't been enjoying it as much lately either. Figured it was just my palette. Maybe not? The Redline Clutch is my current go to APA on the market. ...

Re: Great Lakes

I guess it's the El Dorado hops but am I wrong in thinking Meanwhile doesn't taste like a NE IPA? It's a decent beer but not what I expected, more along the lines of a Belgian IPA. So I've had a few cans now, and I taste it too. I didn't notice so much when I had the first couple within a day or tw...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

popped into hafis today (as usual), that runes ipa is really good. lots of blueberry flavour coming from the mosaic, but in general it's a delicious and balanced ipa with ample citrus notes, malt backend, bitterness, and body. the milkshark was interesting, very bright and pineapple-juicy with the ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I noticed the other day that there seems to be a fresh shipment of Fat Tug IPA and that they've started using a best before date rather than a bottling date. This batch has a best before date of April 2017 so I'm not sure when it was bottled. October might seem like a reasonable assumption as that ...
