The Blue Monk, Buffalo, NY

After a lovely Senators win yesterday against the Sabres, we went to The Blue Monk for dinner. The Duck Frites were great, my fish and chips were excellent, and Lisa had an ultimate grilled cheese which was real good. Selection was very good with about 30 taps, all of which were US micros and Belgia...

No beer is worth entering a lottery, paying 30 dollars for a ticket, travelling almost a thousand kilometers, waiting in line to get in a pub, then waiting in line again to get the beer, and scratching another lottery ticket to see if I get the barrel-aged variant. Unless I hear reports that this y...

Matt, I am intrigued by your statement about "more Beaus trickery". Please elaborate!

I missed this beer unfortunately, and The Ship has bottles, but they are pricey....I was disappointed with The Mutineer though.

Man, I have to get caught up on some of this stuff. Haven`t been to an LCBO other than my own in some time, and we have about 4 craft beers......guess that is a combination of lazy and the fact that I literally live a block from the judge and the ship! LAZY COMMIE!!! Real commies don't cop to...

Re: Merchant Ale House

Is this still the best place in St Catharines for lunch and a good pint? Are they even open at lunch time? Took a look at their web site but it looks to be out-of-date at best and possibly has been hacked. Any other reco's for St. Kitts? Thanks. I think it opens around 3 or 4 during the week. At le...

Does anyone actually care what I am drinking? Probably not. I sure as hell don't give a hoot what someone else is imbibing in. But for the sake of the thread, well, I have been drinking a lot of Headstock and Mad Tom as of late, along with a selection of Florida's best which we brought home with us...

I like The Ship a lot, and I think it has gotten to the point where I just expect some bad(no seating) along with the good. I basically do not expect to get a seat, and if and when I do, I consider myself lucky. I don`t mind standing at the bar, and in fact do a lot of times even when there is a sea...
