Popped by on Sunday afternoon - probably 90% of the local list was still on, and almost no people there for the most part. Favorites were the Warp & Weft and the Indie Ned Flanders. The two Amsterdam blends were pretty nice also. The Hopfenstark Berliner Weisse looked and tasted exactly like gra...

What I'm saying is that, IMO, the line up wait is probably going to be less for the early entrance (due to fewer tickets) then the main entrance. So, in fact it's probably more than an hour extra, not less.

And I still maintain if you're thinking that hard about saving $10 then stop it already :D

I got a ticket for session 1, opted to get the early entry as well. Glad they offered early entry as an option, really good idea. i was debating this. last year, i went 30 min before opening. and we stood and stood and stood in line. how many "special" tickets are available? what if you'r...

I really like the space (cavernous though it is). I wish they had more one offs or brewpub-only beers on tap on a regular basis, because the core Amsterdam lineup is not that inspiring to me. The food has gotten better and is now pretty decent. Usually we just order a bunch of the pretzels though wh...

If you asked them why they don't do this or that they would give you some diplomatic answer, but the real reason is this - they don't have to. They probably wouldn't sell any more beer by making it more efficient. They sell everything they make, and are suffering very little ill will for the hassle.

probably be disappointed by very very good but massively over-hyped beer. I genuinely feel bad for anyone who can (or may) enjoy a selection of Hill Farmstead beers and not be blown away. Some sensational stouts and saisons, with easily the best collection of IPAs/DIPAs produced by a single brewery...

Regarding Cass' initial post, I was just at HF a couple of weeks ago and out of the 10-12 people around me only a single person was a local, and he was just picking up bottles (for which there is basically no lineup). Don't mean to thread-jack but...HF has 2 lines? Heading there in a couple weeks w...

Who thinks IAH is at least as good as Bellwoods? Bellwoods is better by a large margin, Indie Ale House would struggle to crack my top 5 in Ontario Disagree :) IAH, for the most part, I enjoy drinking more than Bellwoods. I will say however that the Warp and Weft tequila BA that Bellwoods did was h...

Its nice - it's a lot like Goose Island Sofie. I think the cider flavor overtakes it a little too much as it warms up though.
