Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

Seems like Beau's is all over the place with their brews these days. All the mix packs, gruits, Farm Table series, that Buenos Dias margarita beer...I can't figure them out. And nothing that really stands out IMO.

Re: Cask Days 2016

Jesus, where to even start with this list? I like to think I'm craft savvy but I haven't heard of a lot of the US breweries. People have their top-10 list to try? What are those "can't miss" beers?

Moralite is OOS already! You snooze you lose and I lost. That went quick...like it was a collobration with Alchemist or something.

+1 to El Pinguino's idea about posting where there are returns. That'd be great!

Cheers!

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I'm also enjoying the goose IPA. An enjoyable tasty drink for when you just want to throw a few back and not think too much. Also probably safe enough to offer to your "normal beer" drinking friends Did I miss the boat on this stuff?? I don't even see it listed on the LCBO website anymore.

Went to the Local the other night. Not a bad draught list and yeah they've got the rotating taps and cask but the cask was Welly Arkell which I thought was a little weird. Anyway I was more than happy with my pint of Lone Pine and Wild Boar pizza. Classy décor and decent service to boot. I'd certain...

Re: Smoking banned on open air patios starting Jan 1 2015

Smoking will be banned on bar and restaurant patios starting January 1 as part of changes announced Friday to the Smoke-Free Ontario Act. The ban will extend to children’s playgrounds and public sports fields and ice rinks as well, along with an additional prohibition on smoking within 20 metres of...

I just drank my 2012 Mill Street Barley Wine. It was damn nice. Better than I remember. A nice farewell to the beer, as I'll probably never drink it again. Good to hear. I have a 2012 as well that I'm planning on having up against the 2014. Apparently the '14 is brewed with all Ontario grown Hops. ...

I bet that baby could benefit from a couple years of aging.

Enjoyed Texas Ranger and Green Gold (IPA) so far but the Cream Ale was a bit of a letdown. Not what I expected (slightly dry, no real mouth feel to speak of) and not a whole lot going on flavor-wise compared with the other two. Excited to try the Kr:lek based on the comments so far. Who's had the Mo...

... I maaaaaay cave on the Monks Brew, because of the ABV... the Black is in another ballpark though, and I'll have to try it on general principle. The cream ale, kriek, and ipa and go eff themselves. I hear where that's coming from, but can't see these being cheaper to try anywhere else, ever (may...
