*Bump*
I'm heading out to Vancouver this weekend. Any suggestions? Alibi Room look interesting, but it has short hours. I think it must be more of a restaurant than a pub.

Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Les Brasseurs du Temps to bottle up
BDT bottling news from the blogosphere: http://thewaffle.blog.com/2011/02/10/les-brasseurs-du-temps-to-bottle-up/ "The first beer to be bottled will be the DumDuminator, a red Doppelweizenbock with a whopping 8% alc./vol." "There is no point for us to bottle and sell a light, innoffen...

If you have the time, drive up to Hill's brewery to pick up a couple growlers which is on his family farm about an hour from Waterbury. Pretty crazy spot. Thanks for this. It sounded intriguing, so I made a little sidetrip to Hill Farmstead as I was in the area. Picked up a few tasty treats and cha...

Thanks for this info, AofK. I made the trip to Potsdam today and went to Big M (Diversify your beerfolio!) and CJ's. CJ's is definitely the store with the bigger selection, but Big M has better prices on some products and it also has a few unique items not found at Big M. Shopped at both stores and ...

I went to Brickskeller twice during my visit. The first time I sat downstairs and wondered what all the fuss was about. Long bottle list, but dismal ambience. Decided to give it another try a few nights later and went upstairs. Glad I did as there were lots of interesting things on tap that I missed...

The province of Quebec seems to heavily promote its own products. This desire to promote QC products makes me wonder if there isn't some provincial funding lying around somewhere for someone interested in, say, opeing a QC themed gastropub. This site might be a start: http://www.alimentsduquebec.com...

Very useful, Jay. Thanks very much. And Gilles at Broue Ha Ha is a great example of this sort of out reach, too, isn't he. 3 cheers for Gilles. I look forward to my Broue Ha Ha newsletter. Crossing the US border is a bit more involved than heading over to Gatineau, so a newsletter about what's new ...
