Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I just take a graduated cylinder with me whenever I go out for a drink. Otherwise, how can I possibly manage to judge whether or not I'm getting fair value for my money? I also take a digital scale to the grocery store, a stopwatch to the massage therapist, and I always have a tape measure and ther...

Bottom line, this is a CONTROL board, they control and restrict access to products making it hard for the consumers who wants to go off the path and try new products as well as brewers who are selling there wares making them go through an exhaustive process to get there products in stores. Oh and w...

20 cents. Deposit is based on bottle size, not price.

Okay, that is lame. The web site Buy Tickets button should be updated to go to that link. Not everyone follows twitter... :-?
Not that it matters much since the payment page isn't working properly.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but:

I just picked up a copy of this for $7.99 at the HomeSense near Sherway. There were a bunch more copies on the shelf.

Re: 2010 Canadian Brewing Awards

BTW 2: if you're going to vote "yes" in the poll have the courtesy and intellect to offer your reasoning in a post. No particular comment on the issue at hand, other than to say that if the judging is blind I'm not sure this is an issue, but: Why an admonition only to "yes" vote...

@ detritus: if you're willing to go as far as the Bloor & Royal York store (which is normally v. good), you might want to give the Cloverdale outlet a go -- the beer there is always a tad more inclusive than the Royal York store, and the lighting isn't as bright. Thanks. I generally only go to ...

Keele & St Clair (Stockyards) - Good store, pretty large, generally has all seasonals (though no DDC feature). Has a decent selection of OCB & US micro stuff, some of which is even refrigerated. Also a pretty good vintages section, if you're into that sort of thing. Beer appears to turn over...

Unless something has changed recently, this is incorrect. You're allowed to import 45L per person (24x355mL bottles are duty-free after 48 hours).

Yup, I'm pretty sure I've paid between $2 and $3 a bottle for most of the DDC stuff I've bought in Montreal. The prices here are quite fair taking transport, etc. into account. Hmm let's see... DDC is not local, is not at all big scale, and is really good, and offers beers unlike anything we have, ...
