Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

belgian this is not an attack at you personally. for the longest time ive wondered why people in this province dont go out and buy Black Oak pale ale everytime they are craving a SNPA. a local example of the same style that's actually better. Be a great beer for a tasting if it could be found every...

There is no such thing as "gateway beer". Introduce your friends to beer you like and drink...they will be shocked, no doubt, but better to raise the bar to what is excellent than to try and baby-step them from mediocre to good. Could hold true, but not for gueuze or heavily hopped beers....

Yes there is one store in London that has some good sales and thankfully it is the one I work at. We have a small-ish vintages corner which I run, so I order all the wines that I like. Sometimes they don't sell well, and after a month or so, they are marked down for sale. This is when I jump on the...

Greg - Any way you could try to limit the number of sticky events at a time to fewer than fit on the first page? When they run so long, it's a pain to see all of them, and also to see if there're new posts in non-sticky threads.

It used to be listed on The Beer Store website (sold in kegs only), but I just checked it now, and it's gone. I remember it was really expensive, over $300 for a 30L keg. I guess the replaced it with Bud Light Lime. <sarcasm> Hmmm... you could try a 4:1 mix of Bud Light Lime and cherry cough syrup ...

I should have clarified that by "real" I meant more West Coast than British in style What about Beau's IPEh? Further clarification - the No. 9 is NOT a seasonal. So in that sense, it is groundbreaking, to have an Ontario-brewed, West Coast-style IPA that will be available in bottles, year...

I don't know about that... IIRC, Corona is one of the LCBO highest-selling SKUs, and I rarely see it served without a lime.

Light, but not Mild?

Are any Ontario micros producing (and bottling) lighter, summer-oriented beers these days? I know there are now at least of couple of good milds being made, but while I like a pint of one of these at the bar, to me, they're not great backyard beers. I'm thinking something like a light lager or pils,...

Here comes another long one from Roland + Russell... Sorry that this is taking so long but we really did not have anything worth sharing for quite a long time. As you can imagine, very few (if any) breweries are willing to ship less than a full pallet. No one really knows how much time it will take...

Not to beat a dead horse, but...

Is this going to happen? If not, will there be some announcement so I can mentally free up the cash I'd allocated for it?

Thank you for your patience.
Still no word on the Panil? Can we assume at this point that this order is dead?
