Am I remembering correctly...?

As I've mentioned previously, until recently I was out of the country for five years. While I notice a far wider array of Ontario beers, it seems to me that the diversity of beer from elsewhere (particularly Europe) has decreased correspondingly, at least in my local LCBO. Is my impression accurate,...

Re: LCBO Winter Release 2017

I consider this an excellent release but will echo the sentiments of the poster who commented on the missing fall release beers, most of which I have yet to see. Having said that, some of the Christmas gift packs (Chimay and Sapporo) have already arrived at my local LCBO.

Re: Beer Cellars

I currently have Westy 12, Chimay Blue, Orval, Rochefort 10 and Peche Mortel that have all been aging for slightly over five years. I was out of the country for those five years. Otherwise I seriously doubt they would have made it that long. I love what happens to the aged Orval and Westy.

Ontario brewed Tripels...

Hello all: Back in Ontario after five years in Asia, so obviously I've noticed a lot of changes in the market in my month or so back. Lots of new Pale Ales, IPA's, and DIPA's, which I love. Have yet to see an Ontario brewed Tripel since I returned, which is also a style I greatly enjoy. Anything hap...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

A Westvleteren 12 from the release in Ontario of about five years ago. Until recently I'd been living in Asia for those five years, so I've had two or three each year or so on my return visits. I gave a few away and have six left of the original twenty four. This is my first since May 2016.

Re: Collective Arts

I am just back in Ontario after five plus years in Asia, so obviously I've noticed a huge change in the provincial craft market. I'm very impressed with Collective Arts, as all six of their beers I've tried since my return are strong. I particularly enjoy Ransack The Universe and State Of Mind. Curr...

Re: Glasses

I don't know if you have one in your area, but I've found quite a few at Value Village, ranging in price from $0.99 to $1.99. Unibroue, Sierra Nevada, and a few Belgian pieces are some I've picked up recently.
