Open yet?
Any word on whether they've opened yet? Just checking since I'll be in Peterborough this weekend. If no one has heard anything, then I'll just try to drop by and look in.

The freight on a small Consignment/Private order of Phillips would be twice what it is from Antwerp, Belgium if not more...it's simply not worth it unless you're prepared to pay $7 for a 650ml bottle...any takers? Yes, I'll take a case, maybe two. $7 isn't much more than I'd pay for a bomber in Syr...

return of happy hour?
I saw a newspaper ad for a local bar (D'Arcy McGee's) which surprised me by advertising '2 Pint Fridays' where you can get 2 pints of Guiness/Harp/whatever for $8 from 4 to 6 pm on Fridays. This looks like 'happy hour' to me, but I thought the government outlawed this kind of thing years ago. Anyway...

Re: Cellaring Beer
Anyways, I expect the yellow sticky they wrote my name on is now tossed into the garbage somewhere. This store only has 45 bottles, so I guess I'll have to drop by every day or two for the next while... It's a miracle! The LCBO called today to say that they could now sell me the 12 TH I had in my h...

He said nothing directly to me, just the statement to the cashier that the Thomas Hardy could not be sold yet. He took the one beer the cashier was trying to scan and walked away. No attempt at anything resembling customer service.Bytowner wrote:He didn't say when they were going to be stocked out?

Re: Cellaring Beer
Thomas Hardy's Ale is suitable for cellaring for up to 25 years. Hopefully in the next few days store availability will show up on the LCBO site. Since the LCBO web site listed inventory at the Ottawa-South location, I went off this morning to get some. After looking on the shelves for a while, I a...

I haven't been to Chicago in many years, but last time I was there we went to Clark Street Ale House (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2954/) and the Goose Island brewpub (http://www.gooseisland.com/). I think many people like the Map Room (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2808) but I've nev...

I can't add anything to your list but I would call Bessettes to check if they will get their monthly delivery before you get there (maybe you already know that). I was there on Tuesday and the pickings were slim for what I was looking for. I left with the last two 6s of DFH 60 minute, one of the las...

Brick 'reviewing strategic alternatives'
I saw this today: "WATERLOO, ON, May 14 /CNW/ - Brick Brewing Co. Limited (TSX: BRB - News) today announced that it has commenced a review of strategic alternatives available to the Company to enhance shareholder value, including, but not limited to, offers to acquire shares or assets of Brick ...
