Did anyone else in Ottawa order a case of Thomas Hardy? I received my email from R+R on April 13 saying it was in Toronto. I called the LCBO, paid the remainder, and asked them to send it up to Ottawa (store #243). I just remembered today that I hadn't heard anything, so I called my LCBO (no sign of...

Just wanted to thank people for the info in this thread. I drove to Bessetts this afternoon from downtown Ottawa (about 1:15 door to door; my roundtrip was about 3hrs including browsing time and paying about $50Cdn in duty for my $110US worth of beer). I spoke briefly with a guy who worked there. He...

cellaring temperature?
What temperature and setup do other people try to use for cellaring their beer? Most of the beer that I've kept around for long periods of time (e.g. various years of barleywines) are just tucked into the back/bottom of my beer fridge. My fridge is pretty large (think 6 foot tall fridge with no free...

Total Wine
In case anyone else is heading that way sometime, I ran into a new beer (& wine) store. It's called Total Wine and it claims to have > 1,000 "microbrews & imported beers" (http://www.totalwine.com/). The location I visited was on SR 580 in Clearwater (not far from Dunedin for anyon...

act fast if you want to get in on this order
I ordered some by phone - Lillianna says the supply is very limited. So better to move on it than miss out. After seeing this post I emailed Roland and Russell saying I would call them Friday morning to place my order. A few minutes after I sent the email, Lillianna called to say they were placing ...

We usually go to the St Pete's area every couple of years, so here's what I remember from our last trip: - I don't remember any great pubs along the coast (we've stayed in condos in Madeira Beach and Indian Rocks Beach). Most places will have some decent beer (e.g. Sam Adams). - I've only been to th...

FYI - Sylvia called me last week
Sylvia called me twice last week - firston Tuesday to see if I had sent in my forms and then on Wednesday to say she just received my forms. I think mine was the last set of forms she needed to receive. From what I remember Sylvia said she'd be sending something to us (via mail) giving details, etc....

Re: I'm new at this
Can someone confirm that it is possible to get the case sent to an LCBO up here? Not a problem. It takes about 3-4 weeks (!!) to get the case transferred from TO once it arrives, but they will do so at no extra charge. If you get it transferred to the main store on Bank, you will save a few days si...

I'm new at this
I just joined recently so I don't know all the details of the previous private order but I'm interested in a case of Claws as long as I can get one here in Ottawa. Can someone confirm that it is possible to get the case sent to an LCBO up here? Otherwise, I'll be in Toronto the last weekend of Novem...

about 20 minutes
I'd guess it's about a 20 minute walk from the Clocktower to Pub Italia.
