This was my first time at this 'fest and I thought it was excellent. Lots of great beers to sample and lots of tasty snacks. I definitely felt as though I got my money's worth. A small critique for organization next year would be to make it a little more clear what the all access pass entitles you t...

They had 2 under the Gananoque name at the Pub i was at. The Trainwreck and a lager called Naughty Otter, which was good, but it was the Trainwreck that I found to be impressive. The Otter was just a lawn mowing beer or something you would drink on the river or out on the course. Don't know about a ...

The server wasn't sure of all the details, but he said the company was partnered with another brewery until it can open its own facility. He wasn't too sure of the brewery but I got hm to narrow it down to either Muskoka, Niagra's Best or Great Lakes. Soooo, it's coming out of one of those breweries...

Trainwreck Strong Ale

Has anyone else tried this? Pretty decent offering. 6.7% abv, around 60 IBUs and a nice flavour and finish. Very cloudy to the point where you can't see through the glass with a generously frothy head. Lots of hops on the nose and lots of bitterness on the palate; resin and citrus tones standout the...

I really liked the hop bite in this beer, which i didn't find overbearing in anyway. I had it a few weeks ago, but I remember being quite pleased with it and have plans to pick up some more in the near future. I hope that it's as good as I remember it being...

Wasn't impressed by this offering. Was described as 'for hop heads', but I've had much hoppier beers; even Ontario beers. It might not have been as disappointing had I not been expecting some serious hop-osity, but I was, and it didn't deliver. Earlier comparisons to Dead Elephant were pretty bang o...

Agreed. In Kingston would be nice too, as I'm between them both quite frequently.

First Japan, now this. 2011 is not off to a great start.

Seems like a shameless plug for Tweter's new undersized shotglass company really. Most bottles now have spouts on them that only give an ounce per pour, not sure if they're calibrated to metric or imperial, but either way the amount dispensed is determined by that spout. So pour into a giant bucket ...

I'd have to go wih Flying Monkeys. They may not have the variety of some of the other brewaries yet, but they've got a great start and it seems everytime they release something it just gets better. So I guess this decision is based on future potential as well as current selection.

Betelguese Belgian Style Tripel by Mill St. Very sweet. Lots of fruity notes and a dry finish. Almost tastes like beer and white wine had a baby, but in a good way.
