Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Went to the BBB fest at Woodbine last year. I remember Left Field and Great Lakes were there for sure and want to say Nickel Brook (among others). Focus is on BBQ, but it's nice to have plastic cups of good beer to drink while sitting on the grass and stuffing your face.

I'm kind of disapointed as I've tried several times to join on the http://torontobottleshare.com/ website and I never seem to receive the email confirmation. I've checked my junkmail and everything. It's a shame as I'd really like to make it out to one of these events. You probably are on the maili...

FT: Dark Lord 2011

Got a bottle of Dark Lord 2011 for trade. Ideally looking for some Founders CBS or Bourbon County variations, but will listen to other offers involving imperial stouts, sours or something else of equal value via PM.

Prefer an in person trade in Toronto rather than shipping in the cold weather.

Two of the casks at Cask Days were also based on Double Tempest. Have they said how much if any will be kegged? I talked with one of the brewers on Sunday and he said those were done from extra Double Tempest after the barrels had been filled. He didn't say there was any extra kegged, either barrel...

I don't know how hot it was, but probably around 70. It was at least relatively consistent, ie didn't spike during heat waves. I used to 'cellar' beer under my sink in an apartment without air conditioning, so I've come to realize that strong beers are pretty resilient.

I moved into a condo in May and started using my storage unit for a cellar. It's definitely cooler now than in the summer, but stayed at a consistent temperature throughout the warmer months. A couple of potential problems I've thought of: -Light. If the lights are on all the time or people use the ...

Beau’s will have their NightMarzen back in the LCBO in a week or two, followed by the Weiss-O-Lantern, a pumpking weiss that will be part of the Halloween release.

Bartowel (for years): "Give us American west coast IPA! Give us American west coast IPA!" LCBO (finally): "OK, here ya go." Bartowel: "Meh...not fresh enough." Sums up my sentiments exactly, thanks. Why send us a product that relies on freshness for a good deal of its ...
