I know this has been mentioned before, but I have to say it again. Why does the LCBO spend money on the Food & Drink issue (and other methods) promoting the Stouts and Porters, and then not make them generally available? I went to 3 different stores in St. Catharines tonight, including the large...

Shoot! I didn't see the Wednesday part of the order requirement. Can someone let me know what happened?

I can't imagine all 10 people were available for the pickup or had arranged for someone else to pick up their order within 1.5 days.

Anyone?

Since Joe has dropped out, that eliminates 3 of my other selections. If I can, I'd like to squeeze in on the Bush de Noel. I'll volunteer to take the lower amount in each case. So we'd end up with (2 cases): Corsendonk Xmas - 8 people get 5 bottles each, 2 people get 4 bottles each Bush de Noel - 8 ...

Can someone tell me what this style is like? The description on the Unibroue website really doesn't help.

Thanks.

Personally, I'd rather that Sleeman use their size to invest in creating a drinkable beer.

Admittedly, I haven't tried their "steam" beer, so contrary to my last post, I'll reserve judgement on that. Having tried their other swill, I'm not about to buy a 6 pack of another of their products.

Yeah, I'd agree about Anchor Steam beer. I first tried it when I was in California, and really enjoyed it. It hasn't been quite as good when I've bought it here, but I do still enjoy it. Possibly freshness/storage issues? As for Sleemans producing a "steam beer", I already mentioned Sleema...

Never let it be said that I've gone unpunished. Can we work this into "the split" somehow?

I'll third Unibroue. Although they individually don't make my top 5 brews, they definitely have the most different types of beer from one brewer that I really enjoy. Not to mention the 750mL corked bottles.

Too bad the "Collection" no longer seems to be available.

Without a doubt, my vote goes to Sleeman. Blecch!

Oops. Just saw about leaving the macros out.

Is Sleeman now considered a macro?

I guess my point is made either way.

Josh: I regularly buy Schneider Weisse by the case. None of the others are available here. (Other than the aforementioned Rochefort 8 ) Where did you pick up the Orval? Peter didn't list it in the Esprit availability. [ This Message was edited by: Andicus on 2002-10-31 17:40 ]

1) Boon Gueuze. Still have my single remaining bottle. Would love to try the Mariage Parfait. 2) My beloved Schneider Weisse. So glad this is readily available (and inexpensive!) 3) Alexander Rodenbach. Why did they stop making this? Haven't tried the Grand Cru. 4) George Gales Prize Old Ale. 5) Tie...
