Paulaner Oktoberfest pack? Please tell me it's NOT a hefeweiss bier. I'm dying for a good Marzen or 'Fester. Hefeweiss biers are VERY good but they just don't agree with me and I love the Marzens. That's just me.

While perhaps not in the same category you're looking towards, I would definitely vote Grand River Brewing Galt Knife Old Style as the supremo session ale. It's just so quaffable and balanced. I LOVE it! I'm making my own beer a lot more these days and while I don't strive to copy the GKOS I do stri...

Last month I asked for Cameron's and the girl went to get it. After returning she told me that it was past its due date. This was the only time I've met a beer store employee who cares about fresh beer and I thanked her for it. But did she still sell it to you? Did you get a discount? Don't keep us...

While some of that may be April Fools it is a welcome tidbit for the London area. It has been without a craft brewer for some time now considering the size of the city.

I look forward to more information and hopefully some interesting beer.

Cheers

Especially since the unstated implication is wrong, and they are in effect saying other beer style WON'T sell. They absolutely cannot prove what styles won't sell, since they have never tried them. Reality is they are either scared little pussies OR they just don't care - nothing else. They should ...

@matt7215: YES, YES, YES!! I think brewing a one off of something interesting is not that risky for most breweries. Great Lakes is doing it and they seem to be continuing with it. It's not that big a leap. There are so many great craft breweries in Ontario that have a name and a following right ther...

Accessible in a taste sort of way or purchase sort of way? Some quotes from the GRB site about the Pils: "Balanced, and very drinkable Pils with great flavour" "minimal aftertaste" I can totally see your point but my issue is with Ontario breweries just churning out lagers, light...

I saw this news earlier in the week and I was seriously disappointed. Don't we already have several light pilsners out there? I was just wishing that Ontario brewers would do something exciting and different. I had just come back from Quebec City where there are many craft brewers doing awesome thin...

I was there this evening, as usual. The guy serving out and the guy with the camera.

Some great beers and the first taste (for me) of the Dogstalker Bock from GRB. Best of the night IMHO.

Glad to be able to meet you again, Derek. Thanks for contributing to a great evening!

FWIW, one of the bartowellers was behind the bar! I was the tall guy pouring and photographing the event. I'm here as "Peter Collins" which, oddly enough, is my actual name! *gasp* I'll be at the next one as well, so please say hello and introduce yourself. I love putting faces to names. C...

I definitely liked it as well. I think their cream stout is excellent. I just thought that the xmas ale had more spice and warming to it.

Hmmmm... I'll just have to keep my taste buds active. :D
