Re: Block Three Brewing St. Jacob's

I visited Block 3 last week. I'd recommend buying more of the imperial stout, maybe at the expense of a bottle of the pale ale or raspberry ginger. All the beers I had from them were good, but the Loneliness was definitely the pick of the bunch.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I've really been digging the CA Saint of Circumstance Citrus Blond Ale. Don't be fooled by the blonde ale moniker - in many ways this drinks like a juicy session pale, or a hoppy american wheat (think gumballhead). Its quite decently hoppy (Citra, Centennial, Amarillo). Perfect summer beer. I just ...

Yep, that one was pretty good. Great job, Cass! It really did feel like a relaxation of the rules and almost like a transition to a less restrictive society.

Re: LCBO Spring Craft Beer Release 2016

Given the current exchange rate, the Brooklyn looks to be very good value. I think it was that price when it first came into the lcbo.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Drinking a Stone IPA, it's damn good - and I'm reminiscing when this beer cost three or four bucks per 650ml at Wegmans in Amherst, NY. Was always cheaper than Rogue stuff. You guys remember Rogue products up here, before we had Rogue Voodoo Butter Underpants beer or whatever undrinkable stuff in t...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

The official beer of Toronto Beer Week will be available at the LCBO this year, which is a first for us. We’ll cut to the chase. As a drinker you’re likely interested in the latest most flavourful beers in the block, and once again the folks at TBW will be delivering great taste in spades (or more a...

Re: The Craft Brasserie & Grille

I made the mistake of trying to go after a TFC game :( Hopefully I can make it there soon! I made the mistake of going before a Canada game. The place was pretty dead, but still had more life than the men's national team that night. Strong beer list, mostly with the flagship brews. Prices seemed ok...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I spotted the new Red Racer Reign of Hops 12-pack at the Liberty Village TBS. The Pale and ISA were brewed in February and the IPA was brewed in early March. Needless to say, I passed. I picked it up but wasn't thinking clearly enough to check the date (though to be fair it only ended in front of m...

When I popped by last week they had around 5-6 of their house brews available to go. These come in regular growler sizes, and half sizes (I believe they called them howlers). The growlers were around $20 and the little guys were $12ish. There's a $5 refundable deposit on top of that too.

Although it's pretty pedestrian. I love seeing Whitewater getting into the LCBO. Local brewery from my hometown. Hopefully they get a nice lift out of this. I'll definitely buy some for guests at my house. Agreed. I get up to Renfrew Co. in the summer and have really enjoyed the Whitewater beers th...

The brewer is wild beer co., and the ninkasi is the beer name "Ninkasi" - isn't that a brewery not a beer? (Meant to be a criticism of the LCBO press release, not anyone here). Does anyone know which Ninkasi? Sounds interesting: Bubbles + Apples + Wild Yeast. Named after the ancient Greek...
