BtP is bringing 10 taps and 4 casks. They stole the show at the summer fest. Didn't think they did as good of a job this time around although I missed out on the Vanilla Darkness. I think Sawdust was best in show - good dry hopped version of their lone IPA and 4 different stouts that were all good ...

I really like the Loon. It has character. They may lack the knowledge and finer service of Brothers, but I'm not looking for that there. It's a grungy pub where you can drink some great beers. I don't need my server to know all the hops and malts in the brew, the O.G., or anything else to enjoy my ...

I get what you're saying but on my occasional business trips to Ottawa (and I haven't had one in about three years now) I really found those other options that you mentioned pretty mediocre too. Ottawa needs a really good downtown craft beer bar! (I haven't been to Brothers or Wellington mind you -...

Pass. $12 for a three hour window to drink and you pay on top for samples. Also they are going to try and spread out the releases so you may have to buy multiple sessions in order to get what beers you want. I don't mind paying for samples as that is just standard fair in Ontario but not sure I lik...

Just got my invoice for two cases for the Ottawa Area. Works out to be about $20 a bottle. I'm going to need help unloading some of these. Ottawa people speak up. I do have the usual suspects on the list. I'll let you know when I get my hands on the cases. I'll take two if you can spare them. I thi...

It seems like Ottawa usually gets stuff about 2 weeks after everywhere else...so fingers crossed before Christmas. orleans/innes store said today they're getting the other founders beers, but that they are not available to them at this point. Orleans had like 6 new beers come in last Saturday. So I ...

Don't get me wrong - burgers were still quite tasty just different then the last time. And I understand that Ottawa can be challenging for food. There are some food carts (vs. food trucks) that might be able to meet your needs as this year there were 20 new licenses granted although not all of them ...
