Publican, I often do a pub crawl in that area with buddies as well - if you want another Cask Ale stop - Have you considered The Duke of Kent?, it's on Yonge, just north of Eglinton, so not far out of your way, and they have Wellington in Casks I believe.

Hi Gang, I spent a few days in Zurich, Switzerland last week, just thought I would post a little info for the curious. From a beer perspective, I wasn't particularly interested in Switzerland as from whatever I was reading on the 'net, the Swiss weren't particularly interested in beer there (as oppo...

I agree with Joey - it is actually a little tricky to find, and unfortunately (in my opinion), not worth the effort.

DoubleD - You should *DEFINITELY* get your beer list posted, or at the very least note that you do carry a selection of locally brewed Micro's.

(Rabbit - Thanks for pointing out the error!)

It's funny, I read the article, and I was thinking the exact same thing, "Hey, I know there are some good brewpubs & beer in Rochester, Maybe we can organize a trip on Bartowel", and here we go! Apparently it doesn't opened until the spring, but let's definately keep an eye on it, I th...

Unfortunately I was too busy to make it out on Friday as I had originally planned, but attended with my wife on Saturday and we had a great time. I didn't find the washrooms too bad, I mean, to start with I had a really good buzz on, I thought the lineups were tolerable always good for a laugh. Rega...

Greg, I don't think George is planning on turning C'est What into a sports bar overnight, I wouldn't worry at all about that. I think the expansion is going to create some NEW spaces that will include pool tables & TV's, provide some other options for guests... I'm pretty sure the existing origi...

Hi Guys, I just heard from George from C'est What? that renovations are progressing, they expect to be opening the new section by end of September. This will also mean 16 MORE taps to fill!! They're also planning on showing soccer in the pub, and mentioned that the Mill St.'s Tankhouse Pale Ale will...

I can see both sides of the argument here, and my 2 cents are: 1) I think both Kid Presentable and I were providing details of specific instances at the Bier Markt, note the title of the thread for instances, it wasn't just "Bier Markt Sucks" or something like that, he's given specific det...

For what it's worth, I'm not too keen on the Bier Markt either, I've been in a few times and when it first opened I had high hopes but then somewhere along the way it got super popular and packed and now I just can't really be bothered with it. I seem to remember the staff were less than helpful, an...
