None of you folks know me, but I will be attending again this year. It is a really fun event that requires at least 2 days to appreciate fully (with obligatory trip to Dieu Du Ciel).

Unfortunately, for Ottawa this release is a bit weak. The highlight of the release is Orval and that is easily available from the SAQ. I guess I will just have to keep checking for the next release while sipping a few Rogue Brutal Bitters. Hopefully the "cellarable items" release (W...

I am going to sound like a broken record, but..... Go to Bistro L'Autre Oeil in Aylmer after/before you buy your bottled stuff at Jovi. The food is limited, but the sausage plate is excellent and you have, by a large margin, the best beer selection in Ottawa. Black Tomato's beer selection gets worse...

Corne du Diable is always on tap at Bistro L'autre Oeil in Aylmer.

Worth the drive....just 10 minutes from Downtown Ottawa.

It's funny, I just finished a 2008 about 10 minutes ago I was thinking the exact opposite.

The 2007 I had September(ish) was perfect, but I found the alcohol way too forward on the 2008 at this stage. It kind of reminded me of a young Hardy's.

Your time would be better spent popping out to Bistro l'Autre Oeil in Aylmer. They have Struise Pannepot, Struiselensis and 5 or 6 Rogue beers available. Not to mention Dieu Du Ciel's Corne Du Diable on tap.

This beer is available at the SAQ. When I picked some up there were bottles from 2006 and 2007. Of course I bought and sampled a few of each and markaberrant is right about the aging. The 2006 vintage was much better than the 2007. I'll pick up a few at the LCBO when I see them here in Ottawa, but t...

Good to hear Rideau is getting some Koningshoeven. I still have a few from the SAQ 2007 gift pack, but it will be nice to stock up again.
UPDATE: Fullers 1845 has finally been liberated from warehouse bond hell. Inventory is already available in the Ottawa area (what's with them getting everything first?) and selected other regions. Expect it to hit most of the larger GTA stores by the weekend.[/qu...
