Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

So yes, I do need to defrost the sucker every six months or so... have a drywall trowel, hammer, lots of towels and a bucket ready and you're set! I think it may be fairly easy to damage the cooling element banging on it with metal tools, just as a general note to anyone. If leaving it open several...

(They said) Spadina / Bloor gets more 750s on Tuesdays, if anyone here wants La Fringante or La Terrible. It does sell out apparently.

I've converted hundreds of fridges over the years (at UC, Algonquin, F&M and of course for friends) and you might want to keep in mind that energy efficiency goes out the door with an old classic. They continue to work great and may never die but they use a lot of power. I'll check the Haier ra...

re: LCBO SITE spring release *** 20% off ***

They just dropped spring release items from that goofy LCBO site... however you can STILL find many of them like the Saison at various stores. Sheesh, they barely finish getting some items like Peaches on the shelf a few weeks ago, and they already see fit to blow them off the website. I know there'...

Look at the 'retro-fit" fridges they sell down on Queen street west. They take old fifties fridges, completely refurbish them as beer taps with a beautiful new finish and shiny chrome. Ooooooh! That sounds good. Any particular store or section of Queen West? I know that area somewhat up to Str...

I've been wanting to go there but it's in a pain in the butt location. Hopefully they'll relocate to either downtown or someplace central. Riverside / Riverdale / Leslieville is a great area. It's on the way up, easy to TTC to and park for free. So that's a kind of centralist attitude, c'mon not ev...

I'm not that sensitive on the $$$ issue and I'd rather pay more to have less to do. Plus I want something that looks good. Look at the 'retro-fit" fridges they sell down on Queen street west. They take old fifties fridges, completely refurbish them as beer taps with a beautiful new finish and ...

Didn't they choose Liefman's Goudenband in one of the past couple releases, but it didn't show up? Yes, they did choose it for this past years' Spring release, I cannot speak to as why it did not show up. I do have confirmation though for the 2006 Spring release. The LCBO person in charge of buying...

Each store has a "leaker cupboard" made up of odds and sods from broken cases. The LCBO "singles basket" at Queen's Quay can be bountiful. You take your chances the beer has not been impacted or light-struck, but so far so good (those guys respect beer.) Pint of Boddington's for...

I liked the second bottle of Terrible I got from Xmas, so I just grabbed a few more bottles at Bloor-Spadina yesterday. I left just one bottle of T for the next guy or gal. No Fringante was to be had.

Lots of other Uni-Bombers (sorry!) including Maudite, LFDM, Bl de Ch.

am I the only one who didn't know that that (STEELES & 401) store is (one of?) the LCBO's beer 'clearing-houses'? The (quite knowledgable) employee told me that they get a good deal of the unsold beer from seasonal promotions and de-lists from the entire system. -Josh I think it's a deliberate ...

what if they dont? :o Well, can also wear a terry bathrobe I guess. Not forgetting to tie it at the waist, of course. Be sure to accessorize with canvas sneakers (no socks) and 2 days' stubble if wishing to attempt this look. Is the bathrobe has no pockets, duct tape the wallet to an accessible bod...
