Interesting. I picked some up last week and honestly, it didn't impress me the way it first did years ago. Maybe everything else has just gotten better in comparison.

Some unfortunate news as Imbibe will be closing down by July 1st as they couldn't agree on a new lease agreement with THEMUSEUM. There is a chance that Bill will find a new location, but as of now, their future is uncertain. A bit of a dick move by Themuseum as they went public before Bill got to t...

How was the yeast?

In the past I've used Wyeast's French Saison. I just got a sample of Escarpment's Old World Saison. I'm assuming that's what they gave you. How did it stack up in flavour?

Anytime you put together a list or bracket for the newspaper, you've got to think about the markets the papers appear in. Crystal has to face the same problem I used to at Sun Media, which is looking credible nationally online while playing to a limited crowd in print. Can't say I miss that part of...

Awesome! The homebrews I've seen posted sound great. And it's always good to have a new brewery in my backyard.

Congrats to Peter - I've liked every homebrew of his I've had so I'm sure he'll do great.

Good luck to Rob, too.

I wouldn't keep a beer like this around for more than a month if I could help it. 2 months and for sure things will be starting to fade. I was being generous with the 3 months. Trying to reason why anyone would need 48. But I guess Craig makes a valid point that people could be picking up for multi...

I had one last year. I'm not planning on getting another this year. I honestly can't remember much about it other than I wasn't blown away. I think it was very boozy and there was a lot of barrel, but don't quote me on that. It definitely wasn't a Quad. I don't remember it being boozy at all and th...

Who needs 2 cases? Seriously?

Like I'd want to have all I bought drunk within 3 months to make sure it's fresh. However, I also don't want to drink the same beer everyday.

48 tall boys seems a little much.

It'll be interesting to see with SN and Stone coming into the province and how much of a push they make. Are they going to push hard to dethrone Mill St. as the default "craft option" in so many bars/restaurants? They have the budgets. Really I hope 2015 is the beginning of when good beer ...

What are your guys' thoughts on Hop Shots/Hop Jizz?

Is it worth the extra money? I'm assuming you get the right bitterness but do you notice anything improved in the final product? Only good for when you're doing giant IBU beers to cutdown on the organic matter in the kettle?

I was in a couple of different LCBOs this weekend and was surprised by all the Mill St Barley Wine still on the shelves. Like you said, I thought this was old news - certainly old enough that there shouldn't be stock on the shelf if they were really concerned about it.
