Thanks for the comments gents... For the record (and whoever cares...!) My favorite styles are "Best Bitters" and "Pale Ales", I do like Sam Adam's Boston Lager, but it's probably about the only Lager I ever drink. Other favorites are Black Oak Pale Ale, Sierra Nevada Pal...

Was quite excited at this one - I've enjoyed other St. Peter's beers I've tried, I love the bottle (Who wouldn't?), and I like the idea of Lemon & Ginger, reminds me of Marmalade! On pouring: Low Carbonation - Very little head - had to pour more aggressively near the end to get any head at all. ...

re: Bottled British Beers from the LCBO This isn't specific to the beers mentioned here, but just a general 'complaint' for lack of a better word. I'm curious if my fellow BarToweler's have experienced the same phenomenon... I find that almost every time I purchase any British Ales, in -bottles- fro...

I've been buzzing around here all week and it's gotten me all fired up on beer again - So I popped into a liquor & beer store in Oakville tonight and grabbed a whole raft of stuff I hadn't tried before. I'll try to post reviews of them all... The first one I thought to sample was <b>Belhaven Cla...

Bow & Arrow is a great pub, great draft selection, many Ontario Micros - But I also think that it is smoking and therefore no kids.

Hi Gang, I know this isn't a new beer (obviously), but I scrolled through this forum and noticed no one had posted about it yet, so I'm getting up on my soap box. I am a die hard Canadian and in some ways I feel bad about about saying this but.... Sam Adams Boston Lager is my favorite (-readily acce...

I'm another Mississauga Native - I live in Clarkson and on a daily basis complain about the fact that there isn't a decent place to drink in Mississauga. That being said, we still do have a couple of decent pubs, in my opinion: 1) Failte Irish Pub 201 City Centre Dr Mississauga, ON L5B2T4 Phone: (90...

Probably the best LCBO (Liquor Store) that I know of near the downtown area is the one down off of Queen's Quay: LCBO Store # 217: QUEENS QUAY & YONGE 2 COOPER STREET, QUEEN'S QUAY, TORONTO-CENTRAL. M5E1A4 Phone: (416) 864-6777 Fax: (416) 864-6863 They have a pretty decent beer selection since t...

I've been, it's a really nice little pub - I believe the 'british beers' referred to earlier are Fuller's London Pride and Fullers ESB, both EXCELLENT! If you've only tried them in bottles from the LCBO you're missing out!

This place isn't actually a pub, but it's a very cool diner-type restaurant with some killer fatty food and (of course) - Good beer on tap. My bad - I don't remember all of the beers they had on tap and bottle, but I seem to remember they had Neustadt, Cameron's, Robinson's, and other local Micro's ...
