HogTownHarry wrote:About that 2004 mixed pack - I did buy one at my local BeerStore (Queen's Quay and Spadina) - they got 4 of them, and they sold in 2 weeks. It was a good deal and I'd really like to get one of this year's.
Good tip Harry, I'll look there since it'll be on display if it exists.

Word is (not positive but so I hear) the new ones will come in 8 packs and focus almost exclusively on the Ephemere series. DIdn't they do an Ephemere 8-pack a couple of years ago? I'm almost positive I bought one at the Spadina & Bloor location. It had two bottles each of four different types....

As for the 2004 packs, they were a VERY limited supply and half ass commitment. Especially since they consist of a sticker and nothing else. Really, Sleeman would be wise to market these mixed cases through the LCBO stores at Christmas - it would be attractively visible out on the floor, and LCBO w...

That probably helps. The main email address on the website does get directed to the proper guy, and they respond to mailers every time, which is good. "Constructive" is a good word here - you can be critical without 'attacking' their methods, while at the same time making suggestions that ...

Agreed, but it seems if they were losing money by under-charging on a billion cans of tuna they would be all over THAT in a heartbeat - ergo, they seem more intentionally sloppy in their interest rather than really conscientious in your interest or mine. Good luck with your credit card thing, that h...

...they're cutting back on quantities with every release. This is really bad news. Again, will customer complaints or Kudos do anything to effect this situation? It can't hurt to e-mail LCBO with your interests, concerns and suggestions. Two Christmas' ago we had no Belgian, etc. singles. I comment...

I say the owners suck, but the beer has been very good so far.

But will it have a chance to remain the same, any more than Urquell did when SAB/Miller made them their bitch.

Grocery store chains sure seem to thrive on overcharging. And why not, they can't even get in trouble if they're caught! When I shop I mentally note prices, calculate a rough total in my head, and verify what I see on the cashier's display... Loblaws will award you any over-charged item to you for f...

No, by the official Dec 7 release date, everything on Ontario shelves will be completely gone and in Peter's basement. Ha ha. Only kidding.

[quote="HogTownHarry"]GMonk should be able to immediately verify those 6 extra bottles you were charged for (owie!) but never left with still show up as excess inventory in the balance. I would think Premiere is far too premium service-oriented to let a slip like that go by unrectified.

Imagine being able to drink beer at work! Maybe I'll join them for a quaff once in a while, that was good stuff.

I don't think it's confusing. Peter can only list and sell what the LCBO doesn't. Bars and restos have to buy what the LCBO sells via the LCBO, and whatever Peter lists he can sell directly. So Peter has to put all the Rochefort 8 stock through the retail stores, so he and BeerBistro etc. have the s...

Okay everybody, take a deep breath and start composing your apologies to Sleeman... I just heard definitively that the new Unibroue mixed packs arrived last week and are starting to be delivered to Beer Stores even as we speak. I should have a short list of locations carrying the pack soon. I'm har...
