Re: Collective Arts
hipster sour fad ends? Hasn't sour beer been a thing since like... the 1800s? (or maybe earlier?) Even earlier, intentionally sour styles like Gose go back to the 13th century. Further to that it's likely that all beer was somewhat sour prior to modern brewing methods that allowed for tighter micro...

CASCADE SANG ROYAL '16 - https://www.keep6imports.com/shop/sangroyal
Keep 6 site says the price is $27.25 but lcbo.com is showing $35.60! That seems way more expensive than prior cascade bottles, no?

Re: Worst Ontario Craft Breweries
To continue the conversation, everything made in Brantford is bad Steel Wheel was actually pretty decent on my one visit. I had one beer on tap there which was alright (a kettle sour). The 3 or 4 bottles i got from them were all bad. Zero aroma, nearly zero carbonation, and tasted like un-femented ...

I think lake of bays high prices have also contributed to their reputation here. If they were priced similar to the better alternatives, I think people would be more forgiving

Re: Canadian Craft Club
is there any list of stuff they've had previously? Does everyone get the same beers each month or is it random/mixed?
Also it looks like the 6 pack is more expensive (per L) than the 4 pack. That seems strange unless maybe the 2 added beers are higher priced bottles than the rest?

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO
I've always found it best to drink soon after purchase. Founders typically releases stuff right at it's peak - if it's a beer that would benefit from aging, they've already aged it before releasing it.

I've been in a handful of times (since it's right across the road from the office), and yeah... nothing has been great. I would say that they have been slowly and steadily improving though, the first few things I had soon after they opened were just bad.

Re: LCBO Online Exclusives
I have a hunch Keep6 has decided not to sell through LCBO anymore. What's the source of this hunch? The LCBO online shop routinely has problems, I'm guessing that's behind the change in stock/listings. after the HF fiasco, they did say that they were 'exploring better ways to sell you beer in Ontar...

from the LCBO? I think the brew date was 8+ months ago unless a new batch came in.BeerIsGood wrote:Lagunitas 12th Of Never Pale Ale. It’s OK, but honestly underwhelming when compared to the other outstanding PA’s, IPA’s, and DIPA’s I’ve had from this brewery.
