I got a 4 pack of 90 minute in Spring of 2012 while I was in San Diego. I'm more inclined to agree with the idea that "it's either not that great/things change or Canadian brewers have stepped it up". I thought it wasn't bad (but yes a bit too boozy), but I definitely prefer 10 BY (only ha...

Yep, context can influence our perception of beer. In my case, I was dying for a beer of any quality after packing boxes for most of the day and spending way too much time in traffic due to Taste of the Danforth. And I'm sure anything cold and carbonated would've tasted FANTASTIC after biking that ...

Looks like I should have gone to this instead of the TFOB. It seems the big difference outside of Molbatts is that there wouldn't be any imports. But generally any of the imports at TFOB can be had at the LCBO so I don't bother with those anyways. And this appears to be a far better price.

the Flying Monkeys/Central City Red On Red was great as well. Otherwise, not a very exciting event, at least in terms of new products. What he said. Considering the ticket price (plus gas and usually a hotel), I'm seriously considering not going next year, especially if the London Beerfest continue...

I've never experienced digital, but it seems a little overkill. There are plenty of bars/pubs where the layout makes it impossible to see the taps or behind the bar from your table, having a few digital displays is so much more convenient for the customers. As well it's easier to update and less wa...

Heh, I had this with dinner and I thought pretty much the same as Guybrush. As a blonde ale, it's pretty good; as a spruce beer... well it's not a spruce beer, even if they pointed some spruce tips at the vat in a threatening manner.

They say they are going to be moving to all-malt soon, why they couldn't do that from the start of their new facility, I don't know. I've tried all of their styles, they used to also offer a red, a brown (which are supposedly coming back too) and a light lime. They ranged from awful (light lime) to ...

Re: Forest City Beer Fest 2013 @ Museum London, Sat Aug 3rd

A little disappointed that Wellington and F&M are missing from the list....[snip] If by "specialty" you mean seasonal and limited releases then that's correct. AFAIK the line-up is still not finalized (they added Lake of Bays in the last week), so Wellington and F&M may show up ye...

Forest City Beer Fest 2013 @ Museum London, Sat Aug 3rd

Cratez mentioned it in the Craft Beer Guide for London, but it should probaly have it's own thread. Tickets just went on sale today. They're cheaper if you pick buy them locally at Pub Milos, The APK, Bungalow and Brewhaven (supposedly other locations will be added later). There are 2 sessions: noon...

I could imagine there's actually a law preventing them from putting kegs on a cart and rolling them across the street.

Ingenious but way over engineered and way too much waste. The PETkeg is far more practical and much easier to recycle That's interesting, I've never heard of the Keykeg. Single-use kegs would probably be very popular for people doing keggers. Are PET kegs single-use as well? I've seen them before, ...

- Cheap corporate beer. Isn't it time they moved to tetra packs or wine bag/box format? Seriously, will their customer care? Hehehe, "I'm going to the store to get a bag of Molson!" But the carbonation might be a problem. I was kind of surprised when bubbas didn't catch on, but I think th...
