Hopefully some other meat was smoked 'cause I don't waste my time with ribs.

Ended up swinging by busters for some lunch and maybe to try the four roses ba robust porter. They were selling it for 8$ and said to be 7% which seems low because I was feeling it 1/4 of the way through. Nice chocolate aroma and a coco oak taste with the bourbon coming right down the middle with a slight burn on the throat. I love four roses so this was a nice take on the barrels. Big 20oz pours.

went last week, forgot about this thread.

the bbq is good, not great. honestly, i was kind of disappointed with the ribs and brisket, my wife and i shared a sampler. i think we agreed that the sides were the best part. the beans and deep fried cheese curds were awesome.

places like Barque, the stockyards and hogtown are much better. i do have to admit i was really impressed with buster's pricing though. while the portions are kind of on the small end it's by far the cheapest bbq place i've tried in the GTA.

great tap list though, for sure. nice cider selection.

Now open on Sundays.

Smoked fried chicken will be a special day of the week feature. Not sure what day yet though.

yup.
there's more to the story, but, in the end, it's a shame.

Too bad. Won't be eating much BBQ now, other than breaking out the elbow grease.

Huh....I never made it there, mostly because BBQ is so damn expensive....but I had planned to visit.

Now....where does one go if they do want a BBQ & beer fix in Toronto?

I would have said Baju at the Monarch but apparently it is now closed.
AAA is good and has good beer but it's a bit pricey, Leslieville pumps is great but is only sandwiches and has no beer.

Never been a big fan of AAA's BBQ. Hogtown Smoke or Aft are where I go when I want that combo.
