Montgomery's Restaurant - Loverbeer, 3F, more

Post by atomeyes »

Montgomery's Restaurant was opened by Guy Rawlings and Kim Montgomery. Guy used to manage Bar Isabel and was the first chef at Bellwoods. he's one of the few Toronto chefs that really embraces beer.

They just announced that, this saturday, they will be pouring Italy's Loverbeer.
With a beer list that boasts a ($45) bottle of Drie Fonteinen, Montgomery’s set a strong tone. This Saturday September 17th 2016, Montgomery’s will be the first, and one of only two places in Canada that will serve Italy’s acclaimed Loverbeer.

A small brewery in Piemonte, Italy that is doing amazing things, Loverbeer has its fantastical legend rooted in passion and love for the beer craft. Spontaneous fermantation specialists, Loverbeer is renowned its sours, and food-friendly beers.
I've had the pleasure of trying Loverbeer's plum sour and a few other beer. they're excellent. Cantillon-esque (with less carbonation, which seems to be the norm in Italy).
