BROUWERIJ VIVEN

Post by esprit »

The latest addition to our portfolio are the ales of Brouwerij Viven of Sijsele, Belgium. Founded in 1999, the don’t actually have their own brewery…yet. They plan to open a small brewhouse late in 2014. In the meantime, they have been brewing in collaboration with one of Europe’s finest brewmasters, Dirk Naudts, owner of contract brewery De Proefbrouwerij, probably the greatest unknown brewery in the world. The beer world knows Dirk very well as he has collaborated with some of the finest small breweries in the world. Most of the great beers from Mikkeller and To Øl of Denmark are brewed at De Proef (that’s right, they’re not Danish beers) as are all of the gluten free beers of Greens and he has collaborated on beers brewed at De Proef with the likes of Cigar City, Port Brewing, Hair of the Dog, Sly Fox, Bells, Allagash, Terrapin and Lost Abbey of the U.S., Drei Fonteinen of Belgian lambic fame, Brew Dog of Scotland and Christoffel of the Netherlands.

Our first offering from them will be their IMPERIAL IPA, a Flemish take on a classic U.S. west coast style at 8% alc./vol.. To date, 275 reviewers on ratebeer.com have given this brew an average score of 98.

We’re offering this fine brew in cases of 24 x 330ml at an estimated price of $90.00 (can vary up or down based upon exchange rate at time of arrival). You can book orders with us now and no deposit is required. We expect the order to arrive in early-mid March 2014.

You can book your orders at espritagencies@sympatico.ca
