Long story short; beer is pretty shit in the Swiss, French and Italian alps. I did find a great chain of stores Au grain d'orge that carried approx 300 different beers including our favorite Belgians.

BFM is a brewery in Switzerland if I recall correctly they had a sort of lizard on their logo. I thought their beers were quite decent...so worth choosing that brand if you don't recognize anything else in the bar / resto you're at.

they're very good. Their Abbay du Saint Bon Chien is great.
my brother looked for them in Zurich and in the Alps and only found them at 1 store.

Ahh, interesting...my sister brought me a few of the BFM bottles after her Swiss visit a couple of years back. Her friend picked them out for me...didn't realize they may not be easily available. Lucky me I guess.

I've bought BFM Bon Chien from premier and drank a couple while there.

It's pretty good not as good as the Belgium sours.
