Rochester, NY
We're going on a Buffalo & Rochester trip this Friday and Saturday. I was wondering what downtown Rochester is like on Saturday nights. We're staying at the Hyatt, having dinner at Dinosaur BBQ and then may wander over to either The Old Toad or The Tap & Mallet. Looking on Google Maps those two places aren't far of a walk. I'm just wondering what sort of neighbourhoods these areas are. I suppose cabbing it could work if it's scuzzy.

Wandering from Dinosaur BBQ to Tap & Mallet during the day was fine though there was a stretch underneath a highway that wasn't exactly pedestrian friendly. Kind of like the Gardiner only worse. Coming back at night we opted for a cab back to the hotel as the area was quite dead.
Beers of the World located just outside of downtown Rochester was quite the experience. They have a much larger selection of beer than Premiere in Buffalo. It took a while to wander through that place.
