Thanks much for the heads up, I'm going to be going to Broue-Ha-Ha tonight, so I now I know to stop at an SAQ too.

A lighter request, but if anyone in Gatineau sees LeLarge Dijon Mustard drop me a message. My family is crazy about the stuff and you can't get it in Ontario.

Just a heads up, I was at Broue Ha Ha today and Charlevoix Lupulus is out and he's got a TON! 12.99 a bottle. Got some for myself.

Was at Marche Omni today and Marcel has Charlevoix Lupulus on sale for $7.99 a bottle. It's the 2010 version but this is still an amazing price for a great beer.

Nice! Might make a run over on Saturday, hopefully he still has some in stock.

Rochefort 10 is in stock at the SAQ (and apparently has been for a few weeks). There is still stock at the location on du Plateau. Get it while it lasts. The price is pretty good too at $4.45 a bottle.

Headed up to the Gatineaus for Christmas to the in-laws again. Going to hit Broue Ha Ha, and La Trappe. Anywhere else I should be hitting? Marche Omni was ok, the last time I went but they didn't have anything the others didn't.

Have yet to find a good SAQ, any suggestions?

My plan, coming from Ottawa is:

1. Depanneur Rapido
2. SAQ Plateau
3. SAQ Boul. Maloney
4. Brou Ha Ha

Best SAQ is Chemin Carriere by the Casino. The one on the Plateau is a waste of time.

Omni does have everything Broue ha ha has but it is cheaper. I'd hit Omni first and get what you want, then go to Brouehaha and fill in the holes. Trappe is somewhere in between, they won't have anything the other two don't and prices are relative.

The only thing about Trappe is their inventory moves slower, so if there is something specific that you are looking for and the other two are sold out, there is a slim chance it will be at one of the Trappes.

I'd hit up BDT for lunch, solid beer.

Echo everything that cfrancis said.

The SAQ has a good app that give pretty solid (in my experience) inventory info. Or you could use their site. The SAQ on Mahoney (up towards Trappe and Brouehaha) is sometimes worth a stop on the way to or from those stores. The SAQ by the casino is the best one as far as I know overall. Great knowledgeable staff generally.

In addition to BDT, L'autre oeuil in old Aylmer has a shockingly good bottle selection. It's a bit like a grad school pub inside, but that can be a good thing!

Do you mean that everything at Omni is also at Brouehaha or the reverse? It has not been my experience lately to find much at Omni that isn't at Brouehaha, but I haven't been going that often.

Omni's prices may be better, but I find their stock has gone downhill the last few years. They remind me of when Blockbuster had those guaranteed movies. You look at a shelf and they have 25 Charlevoix milk stouts side by side. Makes it look impressive from a distance.

Everything that is at Omni is also at Brouehaha. Brouehaha has the bigger selection but Omni has the better prices.

Nope, Broue-ha-ha wont ever carry Brouhaha beers (barleywine gaz de course, and Saison Vostiperifery... for example).

There is mutual disdain for one another for the choice of names :)

There are saison at the Trappe though I cant say if they have it at Omni, but probably do.

The guy at Brouehaha told me a while back that Le Bistro des Alps on Greber was going to carry a rotating Quebec tap. Anyone heard anything about this?
