I'm off to Grey Cup in 2 weeks. My poor body will have to sacrifice itself to the Molson Machine at official Festival Events but I want to get to at least 2 or 3 good beer bars for the local flavours.

Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Click on "Guide" menu and a pulldown will give you info on pubs and bottle shops. Alibi, St.Augustine's are the best, London Pub, The Whip, Railway Club and Malone's are all the places to hit on cask nights or as 2nd tier places. Central City is great but an hour out of town on the skytrain. Brewery Creek, Firefly, Darby's and (slightly further afield) 16th St. Liquor are the bottle shops to hit. They all have Facebook groups or can easily be found online.

I don't always piss in a bottle but when I do...I prefer to call it Dos Equis.
