Thornbury are making a Pilsner? Are they set up to brew, or is this a contract thing?

Thornbury has bought King Brewery. I believe that this could be a rebrand of King Pilsner.

Maybe almost right.

It seems the operating group Beer Barons controls both brands. I was at Sauce on the Danforth and was told that Thornbury was going to be the branding going forward.

I had this on tap at the Caledonian (or possibly a different brew dog IPA). It was quite a nice counterpoint to the more hop forward, high alcohol styles. Very refreshing, and a bit more sessionable.

It's a bit malty for my taste. I could have sworn that the previous incarnation I had before the acquisition was lighter not he malt and heavier on the hops.

When they went to he malt it wrecked the profile. She malt was absolutely perfect.

Both companies are owned by one guy named Robert lee under the provincial beverages of Canada company name. Same people who do the barn door stuff although I don't know if that brand is going to continue. Beer barons is defunct.
