Why is there no 3 Fonteinen at the LCBO?

Post by BakaGaijin »

Well, according to Drikkeriget ApS:

"LCBO is buying 3 Fonteinen trough CBI and me. LCBO hasent been interested in ordering 3 Fonteinen the last year.

They wanted to buy Framboos, but if you do not order any of the ordenary Oude Geuze you do not get any of the special releases."

Well you know what will fix that problem? Beer being sold at Loblaws.
I used to sell beer. Now I don't.

I realize the relevant people from the LCBO are not reading this, but I would like to assure them that I would buy a hell of a lot of 3F geuze if it was brought in.

I believe Leanne Rhee is the beer/cider category manager at the LCBO.

Feel free to contact her regarding any/all concerns you may have pertaining to LCBO purchasing strategies:

Didn't the Geuze sell out like instantly the last time it came in?

That was the Armand & Tommy, not the regular geuze. But I expect the regular would sell pretty darn quickly as well.

Why would we want a boring regular Gueuze when we are getting the St. Louis "Premium" Gueuze?

Be funny if all this time all we had to do was email the lcbo person above asking for 3f and we'd have it. But no one did..

Even sending a link to ratebeer or ba so they can cross reference what they buy versus quality

It would not surprise me if this was the case. People should spend less time bitching and more time proactively encouraging change.

I've forwarded off Drikkeriget ApS contact info to an agent who is eager to contact them in regards to 3F. Hopefully, we see some 3F in the future.

Here is more LCBO contact info. Contact the Beer people and request that they bring in products you are interested in. Contact the inventory people and ask them why IPA's waste away in the warehouse. Contact the lab people and ask them why IPA's waste away awaiting for lab testing.
