As usual the import list is most exciting as the best Ontario brewers do little business with the LCBO.

i am loving the number/variety of dark beers and lack of inevitably stale hoppy beers.

I'm most excited for Oskar Blues Death by Coconut and Dupont Moinette Blonde.

Uerige Alt, you've made my day; I'm getting an entire case this time around. Pohjala, Cigar City, Dogfish Head, Oskar Blues... the import list is definitely pretty solid this year. Ontario list I agree, not as exciting but there are some decent ones in there. Elora Borealis is great, so I'm looking forward to trying Australis. Clifford Porter is my favourite Ontario porter, so that's always a welcome return as well.

I will try and get the Christmas Pack list in October but the LCBO can be finicky about it.

GLB Pumpkin Ale in new 500 ml bottle, down from a 650 ml bottle and no Saison DuPump on that list or Amsterdam Wet Hop or Muskoka Harvest Ale or anything from Collective Arts but labels for IPA No. 11 and 12 have already been approved so they will be in store. Wild Bog sounds like a new Beau's Gruit or it's the Cranberry Sour by Whitewater. Boston Beer Company and Dogfish Head just merged and already distributing 90 Minute IPA.

I'm looking forward to trying Blood of Cthulhu by Sawdust City, Death By Coconut by Oskar Blues (Death by Chocolate reference?), Wolf of Glen Moray Port Cask by Windswept and Systems Theory by Black Isle

From my perspective of a long-time beer can collector, I looking forward to the Fergie Jenkins Classic Pilsner. Pilsner also is a favourite style of mine - prefer them with some residual bitterness.

Do you know which brewery will be making this?

I remember when DFH had to pull the 60minute out of Ontario because they couldn't keep up with the demand in the USA

I note FWIW that Clifford Porter seems to be available more or less all the time at Loblaws (at the least the one I frequent).

Same here. Clifford Porter seems to always be at Zehrs(loblaws)by my place

Funny you mention that, I just came across it at my local Superstore and grabbed a can. I find I've been getting my beer at the Superstore or other grocery stores as of late, they seem to have a number of options that the LCBOs near me don't carry.

It's probably the best beer at Loblaws. That is an interesting question, actually -- what is the best beer commonly on the shelf at Loblaws?

Other contenders: CA Life in the Clouds, Omnipollo Zodiak, BtP Aromatherapy. (I would have included Side Launch Mountain Lager, but it is extinct of course).

Any other nominations? Put another way, what beer do you tend to buy at Loblaws (i.e. "I'm here anyway, this is good enough")?
