Walk in Beer Stores?

Post by icemachine »

Is there any listing of which beer stores have the walk through cold beer rooms? If not I say we start compiling a list of those remaining locations

What do you mean by remaining?
Aren't a lot of these newer stores?

In any event, there are two in London.

Adelaide and Cheapside
Richmond and Fanshawe Park

Around here they are all getting replaced with the "Ice Cold Express" layout.

I know the one in Georgetown on 7 at Mountainview is a walkthrough, and one in Bramalea at North Park & Mackay

My two local are not of this variety.

Barrie has a walk in at Mapleview and a walk in at Bayfield.

The ones i can think of:

7700 Hurontario st. (south of Steeles) Brampton

Hwy7 and Dixie St. Bramalea

Hurontatio St and Bristol Rd. (north of Eglinton) Mississauga

350 Queen Quay w @ Spadina, Toronto

Airport Rd and Hwy 26 Stayner.

Summerhill is too if I'm not mistaken

A few others I have known of have been converted into that Express format.

Hope this helps

The Dufferin Mall location is walk in, and when last I was there (which was about 5 years ago) the location at Bloor and Spadina was walk in as well.

In Toronto add:

720 Spadina
10 Price Street

The Price Street store is opposite the Summerhill LCBO, and the best of the chain that I've been to. They have a wider micro selection than any of the other ones I've seen.

The one in Ajax on highway 2 between Salem and Harwood is a walk-in. If you see a case of Magnotta Copper Altbier with the initials TJ written in the thick layer of dust on top of it there, that was me.

Kingston Rd. & Whites Rd. in Pickering is a pretty good walk in store. It actually tends to have a better selection than the LCBO thats in the same plaza.
