Still better prices from some of the UK/Euro beers than what you'd see in Buffalo.Bobsy wrote:A very good release, though I expect there will be some complaints over the pricing of some of these beers...
Yes, very nice surprise to see them in this release, and Mt Begbie in the Hallowe'en release. The more good out-of-province Canadian beers we get into the LCBO, the better!Bobsy wrote:Cannery is a surprise inclusion but the blackberry porter is a nice beer.
I've not tried any of their beers, but I've heard good things, so it's great to see they're being represented in Ontario.Bobsy wrote:Dark Star are excellent
I don't think I can complain about the prices about the individual beers in the release, they all seem fair, however its too bad that the LCBO seems to have moved to bringing in only "super-premium" (and high-priced) beers in these seasonal releases. We used to get a better mix of high-end special beers and more moderately priced (but still good and interesting) beers.Bobsy wrote:A very good release, though I expect there will be some complaints over the pricing of some of these beers...

Overall I'd like to have seen more Oktoberfests and less Trafalgar, but otherwise it's a pretty decent release.
Also, one of these things is not like the other: Samuel Smith's Organic Cider?
One question though. I thought Orval was going to be a regular listing, not a seasonal release. Can anyone confirm so I can budget accordingly?
