Wow... is the glass anything special with this? On the thread about best values in the LCBO people were listing stuff between 45 and 65 cents/100mL. This one is $1.34 per 100mL!

$5.50 for the beer and $8 for the glass, seems reasonable even if it is not a "deal"

That'd be the one. It's pretty hefty.

Is the beer itself something otherwise unavailable at the LCBO? And is it a decent beer to boot?

Yes, it looks the same as I picked up in Munich on my way back from Oktoberfest in 2008. It was a 1 litre can of their Oktoberfest beer and a 1 litre "mass" stein, just as you would get if you ordered a beer in the Paulaner tent at Oktoberfest. I think its a pretty good value as I paid about $10 for the same thing in Munich...the mug alone is worth it!
