Have to disagree but that's what personal tastes are all about! I prefer things a little more mellow and balanced and right now the 2009 bombers are drinking fantastically, the 12oz bottle have fallen off a little bit and I would say the 2008 12oz bottles are on the downside. Personally I prefer BCBS with a year or two.

oop time to break out the 2009! Graci

he was talking about hoarding Founders Backwoods Bastard not Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout
Yeah I was talking about the Founders Backwoods. I would never say to drink the BCBS fresh.

I like the Backwoods Bastards fresh but really like them when they have 3 or 4 months of age on them. Still, I know some people who buy them strictly to drink after they have a year on them.

EDIT - FWIW, I had a 2007 BCBS last year and it was phenominal.

Naw. That stuff is crap. You don't want it LOL.

Speaking of scotch ales the Alesmith Wee Heavy is incredible, Harry secured me a bottle years back. You now sometimes see it at Premier Gourmet.

I wouldn't get my hopes up guys for a full BCS release. Pretty sure it's in the system for this event:

$125 per person? I was considering going, but that's too much if all I'm going to get is a "taste" of BCS.
