their LC was blowing out DeuS for $14/bottle. hah.
The timing of your post is perfect. I've got family visiting Winnipeg this weekend, and the MLCC closest to their hotel also happens to have the most stock of what remains. I've got them grabbing me a few bottles since none ever made it through the LCBO to Northern Ontario. Stoked!

Last time around I think the 30 was $15 and the 40 $18 and change.

I don't recall the last time you posted a list this long that was this underwhelming. Two Beau's beers doesn't help the cause.

I like both of those Beau's beers.

I like many of their beers, like their branding, like their brewery, like their people and like their innovation. If our brewery could move even half way in the direction of what they've done in the last five years, I'd be ecstatic!

I can understand people not caring for their beer, especially since they definitely push style interpretations, but I don't understand the "fuck beau's" attitude.
I used to sell beer. Now I don't.

Beau's is far from my favourite brewery, but they're not really all that close to the bottom of the pile either. Some of their stuff that doesn't get wide distributions are pretty good.

I'm also a fan of blunt honesty.

Why?

Because they release lots of different one offs? Because they are one of a handful of established craft breweries in Ontario to push the limits?

Not my favourite brewery, but when you just up and slam a brewery on a beer site, you should be able to defend yourself. So just wondering, why?

Not sure I noticed, but then again it is Trafalgar and really, no explanation would be necessary. They may release different styles, but they are not pushing limits and rarely meet general style expectations.

First and foremost... price, price, price. I can pick up world class beer like an 8 Ball as I did today for less than 5 bones. And I don't mind spending the cash when it is a world class brew. 8 Ball at under 5 is a steal imo.

Secondly, I don't care about how natural and organic your ingredients are if your beer comes out no better than average at best... let alone for an average of lets say for Beau's, 6 bucks a bottle.

I had finally had it with the brewery when the Strong Patrick was released in the Spring at almost $8. I purchased it, being St. Patricks day, and by fuck if it wasn't just a massive waste of money on a below average Red.

I will give them this though... their presentation is fabulous. The bottles and labelling looks great. They are tricksters. And the Lug Tread is certainly serviceable and sessionable.

Matt's Sleepy Time Stout is the best of theirs I've ever had, but I wouldn't spend more than 5 dollars on it.

Bottom line, they are overpriced for the actually taste/quality of the beer, and money is important to me when there are so many other world class options at the LC these days.

I'm new here, and that's my two cents.

I know taste is subjective but calling 8 Ball a world class beer is ridiculous, even by bartowel standards.
