The St.Ambroise BW is a 3 pack with 2011, 2012 and 2013

Speaking of which, I see the RIS is getting stocked now. Anyone know if the sparse rollout of the BW mini-vertical is it, or can we expect a more widespread distribution in the coming days/weeks?

for those wondering this is an imperial chocolate stout with cinnamon. Is is very sweet and very chocolatey. The cinnamon is subtle.

What's the deal with distribution of the Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw? It's in a lot of stores, but I don't see it near where I work nor where I live. Is the release finished, or will it be coming to more stores?

It was on cask at Bar Hop last Friday and the description said "Imperial Chocolate Milk Stout Steeped with Cinnamon". Perhaps it was just the cask that got the cinnamon treatment. I tried it and there was definitely cinnamon in the cask version...

yeah probably a semi-one-off of the same base beer. I think I'd rather it didn't have cinnamon, but you have my interest piqued now. Maybe it would be good for the coming season, with a spice note that you often find in winter warmers. :-?

I think it's an easy mistake - FM seems to like to put "testers" out there - I remember before the BNL beer came out, they seemed to have 4 or 5 versions of chocolate stouts at bars and festivals in the months prior.

I greatly look forward to dipping into my cellar this weekend, now that some returning beer has been released! 8)

I think cinnamon is traditional in hot cocoa drinks, and like vanilla bean or orange peel it seems to heighten different flavor aspects of chocolate.

In chocolate stout the cinnamon might just blend nicely in especially if you aged a bottle. I'd like to try it on tap.
