I assume 'GLB Beard Of Zeus (Bourbon Barrel Barleywine)' is new? Can't find any info on it.

Considering the new labels that GLB uses, I wonder if this beer is going to have Ron Burgundy, on the bottle.

Looks like it was a winning homebrew at the 2012 Toronto Beer Week Homebrew Competition. An Old Ale brewed by homebrewer Kyle Teichert, the name actually appears to be "By The Beard of Zeus".

Bar Towellers will remember Kyle's Amsterdam Teichert Smoked Porter from a couple years ago. He also posts on here under the name teichertbier. Can't wait to try this new one!

It's real nice to see more sours come through the LCBO. I remember when we'd wait 5 years between releases (for example when Rodenbach Grand Cru made it's way the first time).

Are these the only two sours on its way?

I also saw that the Liefman's Goudenband, which has come back to form in the last couple of years, has been released as part of the Winter Beer promotion.

A very nice and balanced Red IPA. Dinner Jacket Red IPA is brewed at 5.8% ABV with 50 IBU's. Smooth and silky and brewed with Oatmeal this IPA will offer a unique and balanced experience. We ship out to the LCBO on Jan 7th and you should see this on shelves at retail by late or early Feb 2014. 473ml single serve can and at $2.80 per unit. Cheers! ‪

Surprised that Claude forgot to mention the brewery name. This is the first product from a new contract outfit called Arch Brewing.

Like several other contract-brewed brands launched in Ontario in the last couple of years (Kensington Augusta & FishEye, the Double Trouble brands, etc.), the recipe for Dinner Jacket was developed by Paul Dickey. And also like those other brands, it's being brewed at Wellington.

I tried what I believe was a prototype version of this beer at some event or other that Paul was at earlier this year. I recall it being pretty good, so I'm looking forward to seeing & tasting how the final product turned out.

My golly yes. Why not make that an Amst seasonal, when beers like GL Green Tea are allowed to be a seasonal...
