Nope. There were a few other unlisted beers as well, for example, Insel Kreide. EDIT: NM, appears to be listed now. Not CBS still though.

Cases & cases of Founders CBS / Canadian Breakfast Stout it at King & Spadina. I think $8.50 a bottle now?

Same place I got one of the few remaining cans of Evil Twin Hazelnut Biscotti (6.95) before they all vanished. I could have grabbed all three, but I pointed it out to other Stoutie beer hunters. LOL

Anybody tried the Black Butte XXX???
I splurged and bought it, somewhat against my better judgement. I’m hoping to like it as much as I like Nirmal Black Butte when I first had it. It doesn’t do it quite the same for me these days.

Drank one last night, thought it was superb. That said, still too expensive and I won’t be buying another, sadly.

I got a few and loved the first I tried. Nice depth of flavour, which I attribute to the variety of barrels used in making it. It's certainly expensive, but I'm glad I got more than one.

Anybody tried the Black Butte XXX???
I splurged and bought it, somewhat against my better judgement. I’m hoping to like it as much as I like Nirmal Black Butte when I first had it. It doesn’t do it quite the same for me these days.

I bought it at Landsdowne LCBO where there was no price tag on the shelf - 'It can't be too expensive' I thought and grabbed a bottle among other things...I nearly fell over when I saw the price!
That said, I thought it was fantastic. But too expensive to buy another.

Sipping on this right now, and I agree with the above statements. It’s a fantastic beer with layers and layers of flavour. That being said, I highly doubt I’ll buy another at this price.
Comparatively, you can get 4 of the Boulevard whisky barrel beers(330ml) for the same price. Twice the beer.
I think the black butte is a touch better, but not twice the price better. Still, glad to try it and I’m really enjoying slow sipping on it, on a night like tonight.

I really don’t care for the Boulevard Stout. Bought 4 bottles, should have only bought 2.

Also, I bought another Black Butte. I know I said I wouldn’t, but it really is a beautiful beer, and it was staring at me wanting to go to my home, lol

I'm pretty lukewarm on the Boulevard stout too. I mean, it's fine. It's just kinda boring for an 11.8% barrel aged stout. The Butte is worth twice the money to me, because when I have a beer like that it's supposed to be a treat and I want to get the most out of it. The thing that really holds me back is the bottle. 650 is too much of that for me. There are probably other options I'd go to that are cheaper though. Fullers RIS and Founders Breakfast Stout come to mind as recent purchases.

The Butte is expensive, but it's not like, otherworldly so. Nickel Brook's various stouts come in at about 17 bucks for the same volume of beer. Given how it's made, I don't think the price is that unreasonable.

My two cents: if the beer is great (or in this case, phenomenal), and you can afford the price tag, there's no need to justify buying it. Wine drinkers don't think twice about dropping $20 on a good bottle of vino. And there's plenty of beer traders who spend more on packaging and shipping – in an effort to acquire something like XXX – than this beer costs. I'm all for keeping craft beer affordable and accessible, and I rarely buy big spendy bottles of anything, but $20 for a world class product is reasonable.
